The Very Vintage Photo Safari gives photographers and models the opportunity to work together to enhance their portfolios and gain more experience while taking advantage of Very Vintage Day Out’s unique shoot locations and backdrops.

 

What is Photo Safari?

Very Vintage Photo Safari gives pin-up models the chance to work with local photographers and vice versa!
VVDO is a great opportunity for beginning models and photographers alike to take advantage of our Very Vintage backdrops, be they cars, sets, other models, the list goes on.
Not only is the Very Vintage Photo Safari an awesome networking and learning opportunity for everyone involved, models and photographers also go in the draw to win prizes from our prize partners/sponsors.

How does it work?

All models and photographers must register online before VVDO. If there are spaces you can register at the event however this is very rare as the competition is so popular!

On the day, all models and photographers will meet at a set location within the event site (this will be communicated closer to the time) where VVDO staff will go over the rules, go over any health and safety, and pair up models and photographers. Pairings of models and photographers will be done at random, normally with 2:1 or 3:1 models to photographers, depending on how many sign ups there are. 
After the initial pairings, models and photographers are welcome to meet up throughout the day at different sets and take as many photos as they like.

Each participant will be given a unique identifier (a badge or similar) that says “I’m in the Photo Safari!” (or similar) so you will know who is available to work with.

Only registered photographers and models are eligible to win prizes. Photographers must send up to 5 entry photos to ruth@veryvintage.co.nz by 1 May to enter the judging. The photographer and model from the winning photo will be contacted to win a prize.

All entries will be posted on The Very Vintage Day Out Facebook page so models and photographers can connect.
